As health conscious consumers Kimberly and Georgia share a passion for good quality, nutritious and healthy food. They came together 9 years ago in Shanghai and have always dreamed of inspiring others to adopt healthy habits and respect their body, mind and the environment.

Kimberly Ashton, Chief Sprouting Officer

A health coach, food educator and nutrition consultant Kimberly received her training from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York and Macrobiotics at the Kushi Institute Europe. She works with individual clients and companies on improving their health and well-being through building an awareness of foods, addressing how we feed our minds and bodies, direct our energies, identifying unhealthy lifestyle aspects and making conscious decisions. She is also currently studying Naturopathic Medicine. At Sprout Kimberly hosts regular health and wellness events such as healthy cooking classes, seminars, organic farm tours, retreats, documentary screenings as well as private nutrition workshops. She believes nutrition education at all ages is important because consumers are confused and don’t know what they are really putting in their mouths and how it affects them entirely from the inside out. Her tips for great health, high energy and staying happy and healthy are; empowerment, awareness, education, learn to cook and realise the value small steps of improving your health through food can have.

Georgia Zhou, Chief Bean Counter

Georgia never thought she would have health problems because she considered herself a very strong person, until she started to suffer from constant tiredness no matter how well she rested. Her energy levels dropped and she realised there was something wrong with her body. She was introduced to a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctor and from then on started to be very interested in the subject and began to collect books and articles about TCM and applied theories in her daily life. Now as a mum of a four year old, she started another hobby- collecting all resources to raise her baby in a “green” environment. Given that limited products were available in the market, she wanted to develop a whole new lifestyle around that.  She hopes that not only her own family but all of you can live in a green and healthy world.Georgia was previously a Certified Public Accountant, with experience in large accounting firms and strategic consulting in a multinational marketing consultancy.

Her motto: don’t wait until you feel sick to realize your body needs care. A healthy body is the basis of a happy life!

    To Whom it May Concern,

My name is Trisha Goyal and I am currently a student and one of the lead programmers of New York University’s Stern School of Business Shanghai. I am bringing a group of students to the Beijing Taxi Driver Viewing this Wednesday and will be covering their donations for them. However, I need an official receipt and/or fapio to cover the expense. Would you be able to provide me with an official receipt this Wednesday for the donations?

If you can let me know when you get the chance, that will be great!

Thanks so much and have a nice day.

    Regards,
    Trisha Goyal

    Hi,

May I know if your cooking demo classes involve hands-on cooking by the attendees? I really enjoy cooking and would like to learn how to cook healthy and yummy food. However, I prefer hands-on cooking classes rather than the watch-and-learn type of demos.

    Please let me know. Thanks!

    Carine

      Dear Carine,

      thank you for your inquiry.

most of our workshops include volunteering from the participants so you would have the chance to participate in the cooking process, however the workshop does not include personal cooking station. We could consider such option for the future if the demand is high.

Hello Carine, the class descriptions always detail if there will be a hands-on aspect. The Raw Chocolate demos involve hands-on work, but the classes that are labelled demo/tasting will be just that. If you would like more details about a specific event, please contact events@sproutlifestyle.com. We hope to see you here soon!

Hi Sprouts! I read your newsletter this morning asking if you can help find any products in Shanghai that we are after. I am searching high and low for Coconut Yogurt- any help here at all?

Any chance your 180rmb minimum order to Jing An (Nanjing Lu) has changed?
